Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, I work on the problems that hit the bottom line. I build complex tools on top of large data sets to surface revenue and capital insights that haven’t been identified before. I also architected an AI training program to teach the ops org to remove manual processes using agentic tools, and I’m leading the analyst development program for the second time.
After two years of building across nearly every function at Apex, I stepped into a leadership role to bring eight new analysts into the firm through the leadership and development program. My focus was simple: get them to understand the industry, understand the business, enable themselves with AI, and show up as professionals. The knowledge and skills I’d built, scaled through them.
The data existed but nobody could see it clearly. I built the reporting infrastructure to surface patterns and get ahead of problems before they became expensive — but the harder part was the coordination it required. This role touched product, tech, compliance, data, ops, and executive stakeholders simultaneously, all in a highly regulated environment where the margin for error is low. I learned how to work dynamically across all of them to deliver a system.
Building on the client relationships I developed as a BA, I stepped into a role that was equal parts internal and external. I worked directly with clients to understand and meet their needs, while digging into legacy workflows behind the scenes to identify what wasn’t working and why. I rebuilt several 100+ step workflows from the ground up — and learned a lot in the process.
New to the fintech industry, I had a lot to learn. Within months I was managing Apex’s largest client account. I learned the business quickly, applied my skills where I saw connections, and built the infrastructure that brought a client’s vision to life — giving investors worldwide access to financial products they previously couldn’t reach. Nothing like it existed in the industry before.
Education
As an Operations Research and Engineering Management (BS) and Data Science (BS) Student at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, I studied practical applications of mathematical modeling, systems design, and data interpretation.
